ABOUT
Laura McKinnon, e-RYT
Mother, writer, business owner and yoga teacher.
Laura first came to yoga in 2000 as a recommendation to help heal an injury. Through healing her injury, she gained new awareness and understanding about her body and daily patterns of movement and discovered a sense of ease and freedom never experienced before. Yoga also led her to a profound sense of connection and peace that inspired her to become a teacher so she could share this with others.
Yoga is for everyone; regardless of age or physical ability, and it is through yoga and mindful living, that we can all find health, wellness, and peace. Laura's passion eventually led her to open Seaside Yoga Sanctuary. She ran and taught at her studio for 17 years before relocating from California to Montana.
Laura continues to enthusiastically share her love of yoga with others, both online and in person. In her classes she brings attention to anatomy and mindful movement and encourages compassionate self-study. She teaches Hatha yoga, Grief Yoga®, Prenatal & Postnatal yoga, Yoga for Beginners, and is co-director of the Integral Awakening Yoga 200hr Yoga Teacher Training program. Though she has experienced a variety of styles of yoga, she is most studied and influenced in the Iyengar tradition.
Laura resides in the NW of Montana with her family, where she is beginning a homestead and writing her next book, Heaven's Rainbo: A Message of Faith, Hope, and Love. She is a co-author for two books: Find Your Voice Save Your Life, Vol 3 and Strong Mothers: More Than A Survival Guide - both are #1 Amazon Best Sellers.

Her family and faith are her anchor, the Grace of God's Spirit is what guides her. Blessed to be a mom of three, her second child was called to heaven at birth. She enjoys spending time with her family, her two beloved labs, and being out in nature.
